DevOps Intern

We are seeking a proactive and drivenCloud DevOps Internto join our fast-paced engineering team. This internship is designed for individuals passionate about automating and optimizing software delivery in the cloud. You will gain invaluable experience working with a full suite of AWS services and modern DevOps tools, focusing on building, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Hands-on AWS CI/CD:Work directly with our team to implement and manage automated deployment workflows on AWS using services likeCodePipeline,CodeBuild, andCodeDeploy.

2. Monorepo Workflow:Contribute to the CI/CD pipeline within amonorepo environment. This includes implementing and optimizing build processes that can handle a large, unified codebase and running targeted tests and deployments.

3. Infrastructure as Code (IaC):Assist in provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such asAWS CloudFormationorTerraform. You will gain experience in ensuring our environments are consistent, scalable, and reproducible.

4. Deployment and Release Management:Get practical experience with deployment strategies and release management, ensuring smooth and reliable application rollouts.

5. Scripting and Automation:Write scripts (in Python or Bash) to automate repetitive tasks, improve system efficiency, and enhance our deployment processes.

6. Monitoring and Troubleshooting:Learn to monitor system performance and application health usingAmazon CloudWatchand other logging tools. You will assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to infrastructure and deployments.

7. Collaboration:Work closely with software developers to understand their needs and help them streamline their development and deployment workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

2. A strong understanding ofDevOpsprinciples and the software development lifecycle.

3.Familiarity with monorepos and the unique challenges and benefits they present.

4. Experience withGitfor version control.

5. Basic knowledge of a scripting language likePythonorBash.

6. A strong desire to learn and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Preferred Qualifications (A strong plus, but not required)

1.Any hands-on project experience building a CI/CD pipeline, even a personal one.

2. Familiarity with containerization usingDocker.

3. Basic knowledge ofInfrastructure as Codetools likeTerraformorCloudFormation.

4. Familiarity withserverlesstechnologies likeAWS Lambda.
